Blocklist-Update.sh is a script that I wrote to manage blocklists from bluetack etc to be used in conjunction with Transmission torrent downloader in Linux/MacOS. The script can be taylored to work with Qbittorrent as well, but the placement of the blocklists means you'd have to redirect the blocklist to go somewhere locally manageable as Transmission uses its own blocklist directory in .config. I believe there are about 10 lists there now. It works well for my needs. It can be ran weekly using crontab in standard user profile. To download: blocklist-update.sh To download the others: Github
Bodhi Linux was founded by lead developer, Jeff Hoogland. Jeff is an
avid player of Magic the Gathering and a rather skilled python
programmer and math wiz, among other things. He started the
distribution during the time of E-17, an Enlightenment distribution
which features the pantheon desktop. Hoogland was tired of the lack
of effort being put into the project from the developers of
Enlightenment, so many bugs and issues that he thought should have
already been fixed, so he started Bodhi Linux, a lightweight
distribution that gets a lot of its code from what Hoogland deemed
good portions of that distribution, while utilizing the Ubuntu repos.
Bodhi gets many Bodhi specific applications through the online app
store. Bodhi is a still young distribution, I spent years using it
back during Ubuntu 14.04. Bodhi uses its own interpretation of the E
desktop called Moksha. Moksha is derived from a Hindu word meaning
liberation. Bodhi Linux doesn’t rely on Enlightenment as much, but
is stable on its own, using many Ubuntu apps as well as Ubuntu does.
Hoogland spends a lot of his time on this project when he can. He has
even said that he will not release a version until he is convinced it
is finished. He has programmed many applications in python that boast
the same functionality as their Enlightenment counterparts. Many
community members contribute code and answers to newbie questions in
the forums. Bodhi is a rich and thriving desktop that deserves a
chance. On proper hardware, with the right amount of time, one could
get it to work flawlessly and make it look almost exactly like MacOS.
There are extensive, ever-growing amounts of themes and wallpapers
for the desktop, many of which may have been created in part by the
community. Bodhi’s core is a humble beginning. The development team
love what they do and don’t make a ton of money, they give of their
time almost for free. The main source of income for the team is from
donations. Bodhi uses sourceforge as a platform for its downloads and
you can download a copy here: http://www.bodhilinux.com/download/
If downloading from torrents, the Community asks only that you try to
allow others the same offering as you by allowing small amounts of your
bandwidth for reseeding. Bodhi is a phenomenal desktop all in all.
It looks like Enlightenment without being defined by Enlightenment’s
restrictions and or limitations. Jeff is very active in the forums,
very eager to help support you with any questions you may have.
Normally you won’t even need the forums, the desktop runs just
perfect in most cases. If you would like to test the distro, it is
free. If you test it out and decide it is for you and would like to
do your part, you can do so here: http://www.bodhilinux.com/donate/
